Neuro-Affirming Adult Autism & ADHD Assessment

More than a checklist.

Autism and ADHD don't always present in obvious or expected ways.

Some people arrive for assessment with a long history of adapting, compensating or finding ways to function that can make their difficulties less visible from the outside.

Others discover that experiences they had attributed to Autism or ADHD may be better explained, wholly or partly, by something else.

Both possibilities deserve careful attention.

My assessment process considers your developmental history, internal experience, everyday functioning and the patterns that have emerged across your life.

Standardised assessment tools are part of that process.

So is clinical judgement.

The aim isn't to find the diagnosis you're expecting.

It's to understand what the evidence supports.

Not sure which assessment?

Autism and ADHD frequently co-occur, and there can be considerable overlap in how they affect everyday life.

Sometimes people come seeking an ADHD assessment without having considered Autism — particularly when their understanding of Autism has been shaped by stereotypes or more visible presentations.

For that reason, I consider both Autism and ADHD as part of the broader clinical picture where appropriate.

I'd rather explore a possibility and rule it in or out than overlook something that may matter.

All assessment pathways start with the same $400 initial stage, which includes your intake, initial screening and consultation. We'll then decide together what, if anything, needs further assessment.

What happens during an assessment?

If you like to know exactly what happens before you commit, here's the whole process.

From your first appointment through to feedback and your final report, you'll know what happens next and what I need from you along the way.
