Energeia Psychology

Most people have heard of Autism, but few understand what it means for the whole person.

If you’ve spent your life ‘flying under the radar,’ navigating your way through life in a world that doesn’t feel designed or set up for you, while your nervous system hummed in the background—welcome. You’ve found a soft place to fall, informed by lived experience.

A Bridge Between Science + Lived Experience
A Sanctuary for the Neurospicy

I am Vicki-Lee Alomes—a Gen-X, late-identified gifted Autistic (2e) Australian psychologist. I am committed to working with questioning, self-identified, and late-diagnosed adults because you aren’t a ‘broken’ version of a neurotypical person - you are unique human software running on a different operating system. I chose this niche because I know that for The Invisible Spectrum, a diagnosis isn’t just a label; it’s the key to a lens-shift from a sepia-toned vista that finally turns into full colour.

My work is the intersection where the Medical Model meets a Neuro-Affirming lens. I don't just look at the mind; I look at the MindBody. Our nervous system is not static; it is dynamically changeable.

Whether you are navigating the "death by a thousand cuts" of burnout, or the complex intersection of hypermobility, dysautonomia, and autoimmune conditions like MCAS flares, we work to rebuild—one step at a time. And start living life with more generative, stable, and flexible energy to move you towards meaningful desired outcomes.

“Many clinicians have the same negative perceptions about Autism as the rest of society – they envisage adult Autism as someone wearing a suit jacket and lime green sweatpants, rocking back and forth espousing mathematical equations, only breaking their hollow gaze to bark at a passing train.”

Definition of Autism

“According to DSM 5 T-R (APA 2022), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterised by deficits in social interactions, verbal and nonverbal communication and developing and maintaining friendships and relationships and by repetitive patterns of behaviours, restricted interests and unusual sensory sensitivity. The behavioural features that characterise Autism are often present before three years of age, but may first become apparent during the school years or even later in life. The developmental profile and symptoms can vary widely in nature and severity between individuals and within the same individual over time, and may be accompanied by mental and physical health problems.”
