Cancellation Policy
As a clinician, my capacity to provide high-quality, deeply focused care is tied directly to a carefully managed schedule. Assessment blocks require significant mental energy, advanced preparation, and dedicated clinical time. When an appointment is missed or moved at the last minute, it impacts my ability to maintain this sustainable pace and leaves a gap that cannot be offered to those waiting for support.
To ensure fairness to both my practice capacity and those on the waitlist, I require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice
50% of the session fee applies.Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice (or Non-attendance)
100% of the session fee applies.Assessment Interviews are billed at an hourly rate of $280
Reporting & Privacy
All information shared is strictly confidential and managed in accordance with the AHPRA Code of Ethics. For diagnostic assessments, a copy of your final report is typically shared with your referring GP to ensure continuity of care.
FAQs

No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment as a private client, but you will require one if you wish to access Medicare rebates. Furthermore, part of a thorough psychological evaluation involves considering holistic health factors; checking in with your GP first is highly recommended to explore or rule out any co-occurring physical or medical conditions that may intersect with your presentation.
Self-Referral (Private Pay)
Under this pathway, you pay the full fee out of pocket or claim a partial rebate through your private health insurance if your policy includes psychological services. Please note that private health funds generally do not allow you to claim for a session if you have already claimed a Medicare rebate for that same appointment. Because policy rules vary significantly, it is best to contact your health fund directly to discuss your specific level of extras cover.
Medicare Referral (Rebate Path)
To claim a Medicare rebate, you must have the appropriate, valid paperwork from your GP dated prior to our first eligible session.
Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
This pathway allows eligible clients to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. To access these rebates, your GP must prepare the plan and provide a formal referral letter. -
Therapy Consultations
Medicare Mental Health Care Plans are payable on the day of service. Other therapy sessions outside of Medicare rebates are payable at the time of booking.Assessments
All assessment clients complete an intake and attend an initial interview to discuss reasons for assessment. Here, we will determine which assessment is appropriate. The remaining fee is paid either in full or in half instalments, with the final 50% due before the feedback session, when the report and letter of accommodations are handed over. -
Sleep quality is a fundamental pillar of nervous system regulation. Clinical evidence demonstrates that sleep-disordered breathing and chronic fatigue can significantly impact executive functioning, attention, and emotional regulation—sometimes presenting as traits that overlap with or exacerbate ADHD.
To ensure the highest level of diagnostic accuracy, it is essential to consider the whole person. Identifying and addressing any underlying physical sleep barriers ensures we are accurately mapping your unique neurology.
Our Approach to Medical Screening
Under standard clinical frameworks, exploring differential diagnoses—meaning ruling out or treating physical health factors that might mimic or impact psychological presentations—is considered best practice.
If our initial clinical screening or history-taking suggests that restricted breathing, snoring, or sleep disturbances are factors for you, we will highly recommend that you discuss these symptoms with your GP. Your GP is the appropriate medical professional to conduct a baseline health assessment and, if necessary, provide formal referrals to medical specialists to rule in or out underlying medical issues.

Psychologists diagnose and treat a range of mental health issues.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who diagnose and treat severe mental illness and prescribe medication. If your priority is specifically seeking medication for ADHD, I recommend considering seeing a psychiatrist or GP for the assessment process to save on doubling up on costs. You will need a referral from your GP.
Finding any mental health clinician who is a good match can take time, and it is important that you feel respected, seen, and heard. Don’t settle for less. -
You are welcome to reach out via my contact page, and I will endeavour to get back to you just as soon as I can.
